Admin Assistant

The post holder will work closely with the School Business Manager in the provision of a high quality, efficient administrative support service to the school.

Duties will include the maintenance of the SIMs and Behaviour Watch administration system for students; maintaining the schools electronic diary system; booking and taking notes for students reviews; welcoming and responding to the needs of visitors to the school and the day-to-day office tasks such as ordering of goods; acting upon telephone enquiries/messages.

Houseparent

Due to increasing demand we require a Houseparent to join our established Care Team at Bowden House Residential Special School. The successful candidate will be an innovative, flexible, conscientious individual who is caring, kind and passionate. Experience within a care/education environment is required even though full training will be given through our extensive CPD programme.

All candidates will be required to either have passed or be prepared to undertake a Health & Social Care Diploma (L3) course, unless an equivalent qualification has been awarded.

English Teacher

Bowden House School is a residential, special school for boys aged 9 – 16+ years whose Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties have had an impact upon their ability to learn in a mainstream setting.

The school is seeking an experienced, dynamic English teacher who has a proven record of behaviour management techniques to ensure student progress is made. You will support the school in raising attainment in this subject and bring new ideas to enhance the students’ learning.

Experience of working with students who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/EHC Plan is desirable. An ability to work as part of a team is essential.

The ability to offer support in another subject area would be advantageous and to be an enthusiastic individual with a passion to teach secondary students.

Care Support Worker

Due to increasing demand we require a full time Care Support Worker. We are seeking individuals who are caring, kind and passionate to join our friendly hard working teams.

It is essential that successful applicants are flexible in their approach to work.

The Care Support Worker post is an ideal entry into a caring career as training is provided. All candidates will be required to sign up and complete a health & social care diploma, unless an equivalent qualification has been awarded. Please note evening shifts and sleep-in duties are required.
